Real life in Galway starts after 10 pm, when good boys go to sleep and bad girls go wherever they want to. Galway is one of those few cities in Ireland that has so much to offer to its inhabitants and visitors after dark. A multitude of colours, faces, nationalities, beliefs and preferences. It's one of the most multicultural places in Ireland, town famous for its numerous festivals, concerts and rich student life. Galway, however, shows its true face only to the chosen ones, genuine enthusiasts of what's devoid of tackiness and tourist commercialism. Jazz, clubbing, disco or traditional Irish music not played to order by mediocre musicians, but instead by real artists that have it in their blood. Exhibitions, opening nights, street performances, poetry sung and recited in bars; all that big metropolis can boast about is also in this small, on a European scale, town, working hand by hand, existing without a conflict. If you only focus on visiting typical spots advertised in tourist guides, you might be disappointed with their commercial lack of local spirit, total ignorance of an individual and focusing on mass consumers and getting as much money as possible. If you become our member, you'll find out where those unique parties, often private, guaranteeing you high level of entertainment, art and experiences, will be taking place. Turnstone Pottery

Turnstone Pottery

Moycullen, Galway ,
Ceramics inspired by the Irish landscape to decorate your home... I produce a variety of items in my studio, from hand thrown pots, mugs, jugs, teapots, plates and butter dishes, to ceramic panels to hang on the wall. I love the changing sky of Galway and the Connemara, and the wild weather over the bogs, and this is reflected in my ceramics. The colours of my pottery are earthy, blues browns and greens. I trained as an ecologist, and this can be seen in my use of plants in my pottery, I collect grasses from the roadside, and plants from my garden to use in my work.
