Battle of Bandon – Friday 3rd of May 2013 On Friday May 3rd over 30 brave men and women from Bandon town and surrounding areas will step into the ring for a Boxing challenge to help raise funds for Bandon Rugby Club. The fighters will undergo 6 weeks intensive training by professional Boxing coaches who will take into account the fighters ability, weight and age and then pair them off for their fight on May 3rd. Male fights will consist of three 1.5 minute rounds and female fighters will have three 1 minute rounds. All the Boxing related activity will be managed by Cathal O’ Grady of White Collar Boxing who has previously ran over 100 successful white collar boxing events.
