Community Expressions Ireland is a Community Singing/Community Arts initiative based in County Galway. As part of this project I will propose workshops in a variety of singing styles to different age groups. Community Expressions Ireland strongly believes in offering workshops of a unique cultural value by offering to teach rare pieces of work, and much of my activity consists in researching new materials in archives and libraries. Furthermore, the project hopes to gradually include other artists and workshop facilitators who would work by the same ethos. Community Expressions Ireland will endeavour to propose culturally unique projects in other art forms such as writing, acting, storytelling, dance etc, and hopes to contribute to a better liaising and networking of Arts practitioners in the County.
