We are a Celtic Supporters Club based in Skerries but welcome fans from all over North County Dublin. We offer a one day package for Celtic games. Contact us at skerriescelticsc@gmail.com or call Adam on 0851170135 for more information. We set the club up in February 2013 due to the large following of Celtic fans in Skerries. We changed the name to North County Dublin CSC after learning about the following in other towns close by. We have easy access to tickets as we are an affiliate to Twin Towns CSC in Donegal. Please note that we also accept group bookings. For group bookings you must have 16 or more people. This is to fill a bus, smaller groups will share with members of the supporters club. €130 is the price for a day trip which includes, the bus, boat and match ticket. Below is the route taken. Battle of Bandon – Friday 3rd of May 2013 On Friday May 3rd over 30 brave men and women from Bandon town and surrounding areas will step into the ring for a Boxing challenge to help raise funds for Bandon Rugby Club. The fighters will undergo 6 weeks intensive training by professional Boxing coaches who will take into account the fighters ability, weight and age and then pair them off for their fight on May 3rd. Male fights will consist of three 1.5 minute rounds and female fighters will have three 1 minute rounds. All the Boxing related activity will be managed by Cathal O’ Grady of White Collar Boxing who has previously ran over 100 successful white collar boxing events. The Conamara 10k promises to be one of the most scenic road races in Ireland, starting in Carna village, crossing the islands of Roisín an Chaladh and Muighnis, before reaching the turnaround point at Muighnis graveyard and heading back to Carna. As well as being a stunningly beautiful route, the coastal run is flat and ideal for PBs. The race, organised by the Conamara club, TríSpórt, will be chip-timed and refreshments will be provided afterwards in Carna Bay Hotel. The Conamara 10k will be open to runners, joggers and walkers. There will also be a number of fun runs for children. Online registration is available at activeglobal.com/ie and will close on Friday 11 October. It will be possible to register on the day for €25. 8K Road Race in the stunning surrounds of Roundstone in the heart of Connemara. Chip Timing will be provided. €20 online entry fee. We are also asking all participants to help us support our local RNLI Lifeboats service as best they can. The race takes in some of the most breathtaking scenery on the west coast of Ireland, and follows a figure of 8 loop beginning and ending in Roundstone Village. The course will be officially measured and chip timing will be provided for all participants. Refreshments will also be made available on the day. Start Time for the race is 1.00pm on Saturday 19th May, 2012. Registration is €20 and this can be done online here Roundstone Bay 8K is also proud to support our local RNLI Lifeboat service and we would hugely appreciate it if runners could endeavour to do some small bit of fundraising for this very worthwhile cause if at all possible. Barring that, please donate as little €5 on the day when picking up your race pack, but feel free to be as generous as you like! The Apres-Run Party Roundstone is renowned for its welcoming atmosphere and also for its festivals and events throughout the year. This years Apres-Run party will take place in The Shamrock Bar on Saturday evening and the retro-theme will still be going strong as we crank up the fun with Classic Rock Hits from performers extraordinaire Peter Byrne and the Glass Onion Band. If you haven’t caught these guys before then you are in for a treat! All runners and supporters are welcome and there is no cover-charge, so swap your runners for your groovy shoes and enjoy the craic! There will also be Traditional Irish music session in the village pubs, so why not go for a stroll, take in the atmosphere and feel free to sample the best that Roundstone has on offer!
