We prize ourselves on encouraging surfers of every level to get into the water, have fun and make friends. We cater for surfers of all abilites, from complete beginners to those competing at national level. We offer regular day trips to Strandhill and Fanore, where beginners can learn to surf with Irish Surfing Association qualified instructors. Our weekend trips to Achill Island, Lahinch, Bundoran and Sligo offer beginners and chargers alike a chance to surf in new places, make new friends, and party till dawn! Lessons, competitions, games and shenanigans... The club provides boards and suits, which can be borrowed from our equipment officer. In order to take out Club gear, you must have taken lessons with an ISA qualified instructor, and be surfing with a competent surfer.

Life's battles don't always go to the stronger and faster man, but sooner or later the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.

Having won this tournament we have been offered a life time opportunity:-An invitation to Florida USA on the 26th December to compete in an International Soccer Tournament in Tampa Bay Sun Bowl from the 28th December to the 31st December 2013, initiated by Fr. Ricky Devine, (Past Pupil & Teacher in Summerhill College also ex-committee member of Sligo Rovers F.C.) and currently Staff member of the University of South Florida, Tampa USA. To achieve this goal, the team members have accepted the challenge of raising the funds to cross the Atlantic Ocean. We have five sub committees set up with players of the winning team and some parents guiding this Drive and over the summer months. There will be a range of projects which we hope will be supported by our local communities. Therefore we would be so grateful if you could support us in any way possible We would like to thank the Principal of Summerhill College Mr. Tommy McManus and College for the supports this Summer Drive.
