Our top-of-the-range locomotive offers up to 50 passengers an informative and entertaining 30 minute tour of the city centre. Incorporating innovative digital audio-visual media and with guides on board to offer insights and anecdotes, the train has already proved to be a hit with locals and visitors alike. With Derry~Londonderry due to take centre stage in 2013, we have ensured that visitors to our city can experience the big picture of our city in state of the art comfort and luxury. Our train acts both as a way of introducing visitors to the city and its history, and also as way of making the UK City of Culture 2013 accessible to ages and physical abilities. Since our launch in October 2011, we have carried thousands of passengers and have received excellent feedback from visitors, school groups and locals. Visitors who take the LegenDerry RoadTrain say they are inspired to stay longer as a result of the excellent introduction to local attractions and events tthat they get on our tour. The N. Ireland Tourist Board judges who awarded us the auspicious accolade of "Best New Tourism Project 2012" commended us on identifying a need in our city and developing a family themed product, "As this is an important facet of the development of Northern Ireland tourism."
