oscommon Arts Centre, which this year celebrates its 10th birthday, is a vibrant purpose built arts space located on the outskirts of Roscommon town. It is the only dedicated and purpose built arts venue in Roscommon and was founded to provide arts facilities for the people of County Roscommon to accommodate the breadth of creative activity in the region and to actively encourage its development. This busy venue not only boasts a 194 seat theatre, but it also has a visual art space and a workshop space. Funded by Roscommon County Council and The Arts Council, the arts centre presents a year round multi-disciplinary programme of events which includes theatre, music, comedy, dance, visual art events, workshops and classes for both young and old, visitor and local alike.
