Shiatsu Body Therapist - Carrick On Shannon

Shiatsu Body Therapist - Carrick On Shannon

Bridge Street , Carrick on Shannon ,
Japanese Shiatsu massage therapy is profoundly relaxing, healing and energising. Shiatsu treats not only your symptoms but also the underlying causes of an illness or imbalance. What is Shiatsu? Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing form of ancient Japanese healing massage. What responds well to shiatsu? . Muscular/joint aches and pains . Shoulder, neck and back pain . Digestive disorders . Anxiety, stress, depression, panic attacks, eating disorders . Infertility, hormonal imbalance, menopause . Support during life transitions eg separation, divorce, death of a loved one, moving home, changing job, adapting to the birth of a baby, exam stress, coming to terms with an illness or disability of your own or a loved one. Is Shiatsu only for treating illness? No, it is also a wonderful way to treat yourself to a relaxing experience which will initiate your natural healing mechanisms. This is a time honoured way to balance the systems of the body and maintain your state of health. What to expect. Your first session will involve a twenty minute consultation followed by a one hour treatment. Each treatment is tailored uniquely to your condition. Shiatsu is received fully clothed at floor level on a comfortable futon mattress. Gentle pressure is applied with palms, thumbs and fingers to acupressure points and energy pathways. Limbs and joints may be gently manipulated, rotated and stretched. Between treatments. You can continue to support your treatment at home. I can offer advice on self help acupressure points, stretches and foods to encourage your energy balancing and healing. How many treatments do I need? You can have one session as a relaxing treat. For relaxation and maintenance of general wellbeing one per month is advisable. If you are unwell or generally worn down I recommend a package of three to six treatments, one per week.
