Rum and Black Music Club
Welcome to the Rum and Black facebook page. We are Ballaghaderreen's only dedicated live music venue, and we aim to deliver the best in local, national, and international music to our audience. We are offering the chance for music lovers to enjoy an intimate, cosy setting, rare in these days of "super pubs" and soulless venues, where performers can open up and engage an audience on an informal level.
A joint Kilmovee effort between long time proprietor of Spells Bar, Neil Sheriden, and traditional musician Dominic Keogh, we are aiming to combine our best experiences behind, and in front of the bar and shape them into the Rum and Black Music Club! The name, in case you are curious, comes from the Legendary Peter Horan's favourite tipple at the end of a great session, when one night could turn in to two very quickly.
